IREUM, GYEOL · LIBRARY
About Ireum, Gyeol
An independent service for looking carefully at the characters in a Korean name.
What the service offers
Ireum, Gyeol combines Hanja selection, reading checks, stroke arithmetic, and reflective stories. It is separate from Saju, Gyeol and does not ask for a birth date or birthplace. The aim is to make the calculations visible while offering a different vocabulary for reflecting on experience.
Data and editorial approach
The base dictionary uses Unicode 17.0 Unihan. Grid stories, connected readings, and practical reflections are authored around element symbolism for this service. Clan summaries refer to identified sources and are labeled separately from the metaphors written around them.
Limits of the reading
The tool does not predict the future, diagnose personality, automatically assess original strokes, or certify official name-character eligibility. It does not infer a clan or give people with a shared surname the same life. It does not recommend changing a name to obtain a promised outcome.
Operation and contact
The service is operated as Ireum, Gyeol. The public contact email is available on the contact page for content and data corrections. A sample character, reproduction steps, and a reference link are sufficient; you do not need to disclose a real name.
